“Sunday Telegraph” Guide to Commuterland: Country Life Within Reach of London

“Sunday Telegraph” Guide to Commuterland: Country Life Within Reach of London
Customer Review: Helpful if you want to be at least 30 mins out of London
The book does give you good reviews of villages & towns, with details of schools, local ammenities, time into London on the train and prices of season tickets. However, for me, what lets it down, is that it suggests that if you are looking to “commute” you are essentially looking to be at least 30 mins out of London on the train. It doesn’t cover any towns/villages closer in, that are still out of town and the most likely locations of first time buys for younger people who still want to be close into London but be able to buy somewhere affordable. If you are looking to move much futher out however, then its a good book and worth buying.

Customer Review: Excellent way of helping narrow down your research on areas!
I’m planning on buying a house and this book was handy in narrowing down my choices of what type of place I would like to live in and also gives me more options (judging from commute times) of where I can move. From one person who doesn’t have all the time in the world to drive from place to place, let alone do all the research on specific areas, this is a great book. Worth a buy if you want to get out of London, but still have a decent commute and a decent neighborhood.
