Customer Review: A passable game
Gangs of London is a game which lets you choose to play as one of five gangs and with each one you partake in a number of missions like assualt,sabotage,defend and hijack and more in and around London. This may sound good but in practice many of the levels are quite similar, in most missions you either kill everyone, drive a car to somewhere or drive a car and then kill everyone. One of the main bad points that dogs you through out the game is the control system which is very jerky and impricise due to there only being one analogue stick on the psp. Another problem is the targeting system which just targets whose closest and you can’t change targets and when you have a knife you can’t target at all and the target button misteriously becomes a block button. The game may also be set in a GTA style but really it is quite linear and has none of that fun factor which GTA has. Said that though the game does entertain in places and there are many levels,over 60 to play through. Another quite fun part is the pub which has a few mini games ranging from Darts, skittles, pool and the arcade. Arcade is probally the best and the games have a snake quality, they look easy but in some places are quite difficult and are very addictive. Overall the game has a lot of flaws but for the price you can pick it up for, it is ultimatley not bad value and will wile away a few hours..
